PROSTREET SUPERBEE
PHASE 11, May 31st, 2001
This picture shows the eloquent ears and several other
brackets have been built. If you look closely you can see the front left
shock sticking up. There has been significant progress to this
point. All of the air conditioning brackets are being fitted, the master
cylinder has been mounted and the rocker bars are in. Wwe are working on
modifying core support so that it can be installed. The drive shaft is
place also.
If you look closely you can see the seats are being
fitted after the floor pan was installed. We are currently going through
that with the steering column, we are doing some head banging on how to mount it
, keep it clean and unnocicable and still make it stiff enough that it doesnt
shake around. He is installing it so you can't see the hangar. The fire
wall is complete and next will be to fabricate the dashboard. I'm going
with the original style but with a much more modern appearance. I'll be
installing white face Autometer gauges. I'm still debating whether or not
to put a stereo system in the car. Personally I think the motor will be
more than enough music.
As you can see here the front fenders have been hung
and I ordered American Racing Torque Thrust 11's. They have the nostalgic
look and are strong enough to handle the torque. There was a problem with
getting the drivers side door to hang correctly but it just took a little elbow
grease to get it to fit right. Once all the components are measured and
fitted the car will be dismantled and the parts will be sent off for different
types of coating. At that point the body will be painted also. I
want to go with a deeper yellow. This yellow seems to have to much white
in it.
